Improving teacher supply

In June 2022 [REDACTED] the Victorian and NSW announced the Universal Preschool for all 4 year old children 30 hours of fully subsidized to be rolled out in 2025+ 203
Considerable issues in rural and remote areas 44 percent regional families and 85 percent of rural families live in a early learning dessert.
Also vulnerable communities need access to a quality centre for a strong start to the children's education and care.
The Indigenous communities need Indigenous teachers to continue their educational journey promoting and fostering their cultural way of learning, upholding language, customs , traditions, connectedness to their land .
There are an estimate of 6,000 vacancies in the birth -5 years a growing concern
To facilitate valuable play opportunities for children we need educators who understand the theories that underpin effective play pedagogies. We need educators who are specially trained to support guide and care for children successfully.

Rushing educators through an Early Childhood degree will not deliver quality outcomes and would be a disservice to our children
