Somewhat agree

There is merit in the recognition of teachers. However, this is a band-aid on the problem as overwork, treatment by students and the impact of COVID can not be undone by these measures. This may slow but ultimately not stop the exodus of teachers from the workforce. As well, fewer high school graduates see teaching as a noble and worthwhile cause, so any changes will take a while and need to be matched by changes in school culture

Improving teacher supply

The actions proposed will be effective in increasing the number of students entering ITE, number of students completing ITE and the number of teachers staying in and/or returning to the profession.
