Actually make any impact is the ads to raise awareness of what teachers do. We need to change the attitude towards teachers nationally.

What the heck are with the awards…. 99.9 percent of teachers do not care. And those that do… how is adding another award going to retain. They will use awards to get out of teaching.

How about making the education degree relevant! Mine was so outdated and it was a shock to the system starting teaching.

You quote the QLD framework like it actually made an impact. Ask any educator that is here…. It was brought in… spoken about for 3 months and disappeared again. There’s a few good ideas, but schools were never supported with additional resourcing to implement it. Once again, the worked dropped on the schools to figure it out.

The proposed actions will improve career pathways, including through streamlining the process for Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher (HALT) accreditation, and providing better professional support for teachers to retain them in the profession.
