None of these actions support the teacher in the classroom to stay. Smaller class sizes and more support with neorodiverse students is needed. This year I’m a classroom there is 3 asd students, student with severe behaviour who has bit, hit, kicked and spat at staff EVERYDAY. it took 3 terms to get funding. A [REDACTED], and then all the other behaviours that go on in the classroom. We are along teachers because of years reasons, we have leadership pushing down way too much extra work on teacher and despite Consultative being a part of the public system teachers not having a say in their work. We need as stated smaller class sizes, less paperwork, more funding. You can train more teachers but they won’t stay if the real reasons teachers are leaving isn’t liked at. Also reports that are the same across all government schools allowing some principals to dictate how these are done can increase teacher workload ten fold! Also stop interpreting our agreement - it’s not grey areas it’s not up for interpretation. It states what it states for example the meaning of a meeting up for debate (how ridiculous). Respect for what we do and how hard we work. The things we have to deal with daily, like the physical and verbal abuse it’s all so hushed. Fix it please
