Sure, you may get more teachers with less training and experience joining the profession but you will burn out those who have experience and need to mentor these staff. Nothing you are proposing will retain teachers

Supply will increase but quality will drop significantly. This needing more mentoring which won't be available and lowering the reputation of the entire industry as there will be a huge group of new teachers who know nothing

Maximising the time to teach

The actions proposed will improve retention and free up teachers to focus on teaching and collaboration.

Better career pathways to support and retain teachers in the profession

The proposed actions will improve career pathways, including through streamlining the process for Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher (HALT) accreditation, and providing better professional support for teachers to retain them in the profession.

Somewhat disagree

Would you like to provide feedback about these actions?

Moving people into leadership quickly just again underminds the profession. People need to be in the classroom for quite some time before they have the background to actually lead others
