Minister for Education and Youth, the Hon Alan Tudge MP and Minister for Indigenous Australians, the Hon Ken Wyatt AM, MP have announced a package of early childhood measures as part of the Australian Government’s commitment to achieving Closing the Gap targets.
The package includes:
- expanding the Connected Beginnings program
- growing the Community Child Care Fund Restricted program
- expanding the Early Years Education Program
- trialling a new teaching model to strengthen literacy and numeracy early learning.
