Advice for grant recipients

The Department of Education provides grants to organisations to support better education outcomes for Australians while assisting the grantee to achieve its objectives.

We have introduced a new process for reviewing information materials developed through grant agreements. Information materials in scope include, but are not limited to, videos, podcasts, fact sheets, publications, educational resources and multi-media materials for online platforms, including websites.

This process provides greater clarity and consistency for our grant partners and helps us to assess the risk levels of information materials and apply appropriate treatments to mitigate the risks.

The department will assess your grant application and, depending on the proposed information materials, we may ask you to develop a Quality Assurance Plan and we may include specific clauses in your grant agreement. If this is required, we will work with you to develop a Quality Assurance Plan.

Further detail is provided in the Framework for Quality Assuring Resources.
