The Schools Upgrade Fund consists of three components:

  • $18 million targeted round to support capital projects for government and non-government schools announced in the leadup to the 2022 election.
  • $32 million open round to help create healthier school environments by purchasing air purifiers, upgrading ventilation systems, and building and maintaining safe learning spaces.
  • $215 million to help public schools meet the cost of important infrastructure projects such as new classrooms, buildings, or other major refurbishments and upgrades.

Note: Total appropriation includes measure implementation costs.
