National Skills Passport Consultation

Share your views on the scope, outcomes and benefits of a National Skills Passport.

Responses to the consultation paper will help shape the business case for a National Skills Passport.

Background

In September 2023, alongside the release of the Employment White Paper, the Australian Government announced it would consult widely to develop a business case for a National Skills Passport.

A National Skills Passport has the potential to help with education and employment decisions. It could help workers promote their qualifications, upskill and reskill, and help businesses find staff with the right skills. People who participate could view and share evidence of their skills and qualifications in a trusted, seamless, and integrated digital system. A National Skills Passport could also connect with other relevant services, make life easier for employers, employees and jobseekers, and help people upskill and reskill.
