DESE, in collaboration with the Department of Polytechnic and Community College Education, Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) is hosting a series of technical and vocational education and training (TVET) webinars in 2022.
The first session, titled 'The Evolution of Apprenticeships' aims to explore the current role of apprenticeships and how technical and vocational education and training is delivered in Australia, Finland and Malaysia.
Speakers will talk about their respective TVET systems, share how apprenticeships have evolved to meet industry needs, and explore how TVET can be strengthened through partnerships and collaborations.
A range of speakers will present, including Mr Juha Hautanen from Finland’s JAMK University of Applied Sciences (School of Professional Teacher Education).
The first webinar will be held on Tuesday, 31 May 2022, from 4-5:30 pm AEST (2pm Kuala Lumpur time).
