The Tuition Protection Service has been notified by a third-party contractor of an historic data breach involving the personal information of about 7,000 international students. The data breach occurred in July 2021.

The Tuition Protection Service has worked with the service provider, Vincents Chartered Accountants, to identify all students affected by the data breach and to notify and provide them with advice and support to reduce the potential risk of misuse of personal information. We apologise to all impacted students.

There is no evidence so far to suggest that this data has been used maliciously.
