Evaluation of the National School Chaplaincy Program

The National School Chaplaincy Program (NSCP) supports the wellbeing of students and school communities through pastoral care services and student support strategies in over 3000 school communities nationally each year.

The NSCP is delivered and managed by state and territory governments through a Project Agreement agreed to by all state and territory Education Ministers.

In accordance with the Project Agreement, in 2022 the Department of Education has engaged dandolopartners to conduct an independent evaluation of the NSCP for the years 2019 to 2022. The independent evaluation will assess the program’s effectiveness in supporting the wellbeing of school students and the broader school community.

As part of the evaluation, an online survey will be published seeking input from Australian school communities and the wider Australian community. The survey will be open from 30 August 2022 to 13 September 2022.

The consultation period has now closed.
