The Australian Government has invested $1.4 billion into the Trade Training Centres (TTCs) in Schools program to help students successfully move to further education, training or work.

To reflect the Government's commitment to stronger industry collaboration, the TTCs focus on working with industry and having appropriate student support in place. The program has funded 375 Trade Training Centres and 136 Trade Skills Centres.
Independent review into the Trade Training Centres in Schools Program
In 2014, an independent review was conducted to advise the Government on ways to make the best possible use of the Trade Training Centres in Schools Program funding, and improve the delivery and quality of vocational learning and vocational education and training delivered to secondary students.

Preparing Secondary Students for Work
The Preparing Secondary Students for Work Framework sets out a framework for vocational education and training delivered to secondary students. It establishes a vision for all secondary students to experience high-quality vocational learning, including career education and to have access to high quality vocational education and training programs.
The TTC Program’s focus on student and skills outcomes and on improving the quality of schooling offered to secondary students are highlighted in a series of ‘illustrations of good practice’ videos. 17 of the 19 videos refer to the Trade Training Centres in the Preparing Secondary Students for Work website.
