The Australian Government has released the Research Commercialisation Action Plan to ensure more of the excellent research being produced in our universities translates into new products and services, new businesses and start-ups, and more jobs for Australia.

The Government will invest $2.2 billion over 11 years across a comprehensive set of reforms including the $1.6 billion Australia's Economic Accelerator Program, introduction of a National Industry PhD Program, expansion of CSIRO's Main Sequence Ventures, and establishment of the Trailblazer Universities Program

The Action Plan will create stronger links between business and industry and focus effort in the six National Manufacturing Priority areas to drive commercial returns.
