The department is partnering with Campus Plus, Science & Technology Australia (STA), and Cruxes Innovation to deliver the National Industry PhD Program. The program has been designed to create new career pathways for research students in collaboration with industry and boost research translation and impact, with over 1,300 Industry PhDs added across 10 years.
This program is part of the $296 million Increase Workforce Mobility initiative, which will help build a bedrock of research talent skilled in university-industry collaboration.

Applications will open in 2023, with the program commencing from 1 July 2023.
