About the Program
The Commonwealth Teaching Scholarships Program (the Program) supports new undergraduate and postgraduate teacher education students with scholarships of up to $40,000.
Commonwealth Teaching Scholarships Program deliver on Action 2 under the National Teacher Workforce Action Plan aims to attract high quality candidates into the teaching profession and to help address teacher workforce shortages.

To apply you must be a person living in Australia who is an Australian citizen, a permanent resident, a holder of a permanent humanitarian visa or a New Zealand citizen living in Australia.
Other financial support
The Australian Government’s Commonwealth Teaching Scholarship is available to eligible Australians regardless of where you live. In addition, teaching scholarships are also offered by state and territory governments.
