The Yadha Muru Foundation (YMF) has been selected to coordinate and deliver the City-Country Partnerships Program, following a competitive grants round.

The YMF is chaired by Dr Leanne Holt Pro Vice-Chancellor, Indigenous Strategy, at Macquarie University and supported by a strong Indigenous leadership team.

The City-Country Partnerships program will help boost education outcomes of Indigenous students and lift school attendance rates. The program will support the establishment of formal partnerships between metropolitan schools and remote schools with a high proportion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. YMF is now accepting expressions of interest from remote schools and non-government metropolitan schools to be considered under the program.

YMF will source philanthropic and other funding sources and will assist participating schools to build the sustainability of the partnerships long-term.

For further information on the City-Country Partnership program or to express interest in participating please visit www.yadhamuru.org/citycountry-partnerships.

The Government is also expanding the program to enable public schools in metropolitan areas to participate later this year.
